Keith’s Comics has been selling comics for over 20 years. Our 20th Anniversary was in April ‘09. Go us!
Anyway, in that time one thing has been certain: new comics come out every week in the direct market comic shops.
Delivery day right now is Wednesday. It’s been Thursday. Its been Tuesday and Thursday (or maybe Friday). Yup, two times a week.
For the first time in my memory there will be a week without new comics. Because of the way the calendar falls and UPS ships, Diamond Comic Distributors has declared a skip week the week of December 30th.
We are starting to formulate ideas for in the stores about how to deal with this “Comic Free Day”. This is surely a cool opportunity for what is usually a notoriously slow shipping week.
For the mail order folks everything will happen a week after we would usually send out. Previews will ship January 6th so ship out will start January 8th and finish January 11th. So January will have a tight turnaround for orders to get back in.

Previews Adult is no longer “published”. Those of you who used to get it, and still want it, I can e-mail you a .pdf (about 2 meg ) that looks exactly like the printed version.
Shipping Schedule Note
Lets talk Nov and December shipping schedules. Because of how the calendar falls this year the Nov 2009 shipping items will start going out DEC 4th . The vast majority will go out December 7 and arrive in the Dec 9-11 range.
